Travel: Crystal Pier, San Diego, Day 12

June 29, 2012 -- After my glorious run, me and Enrique embarked on a San Diego tour of restaurants and bars throughout the remainder of the day and night.  Lunch, as usual, was at Rockin' Baja Coastal Cantina.  Again, nothing but good things to say about my Jumbo shrimp fajitas and friendly wait staff.  Love those guys!

With lunch behind me, I headed to Pacific Beach where I took a walk on the Crystal Pier.  I had seen it many times before, but this time I took the walk all the way out to the end of the pier.

Here's a beautiful view of the Pacific Ocean from the end of the pier.

Can't forget the California surfers!

Time for a walk on the Pacific Beach boardwalk ... lots of girls and bikinis!

By this time Enrique has called and said he was ten minutes away ... you know what that means!

Bars: Pacific Beach Shore Club, San Diego, Day 5

June 22, 2012 -- When I'm at Pacific Beach, I always make sure I stop in for a beer and fish taco at the Pacific Beach (PB) Shore Club.  Oh, and the seared ahi is fantastic too!  Today was no different.  After walking the boardwalk in the midday sun, AP and I were ready for some cold ones.

Conveniently it was happy hour and I had myself a Pacifico draft in what can only be described as the Holy Grail.  18 oz. drafts for $4!

Soon after that our buddy Enrique joined us for dinner.  As luck would have it -- again -- two girls from Jack Daniel's were passing out free shots of their honey flavored whiskey.  Not bad, and neither was the shot!

As we enjoyed some more post-meal  beverages, a bachelorette party popped in for some drinks and nearly each girl's hair was my favorite color -- blonde!  Too bad it got late and we had to leave for the night, but that only brought us to Day 6 ...

Travel: Pacific Beach, San Diego, Day 5

June 22, 2012 -- Me, AP, and Enrique had a very eventful Day 5 on our work assignment.  After our lunch in La Jolla, me and AP headed to Pacific Beach.  The weather was perfect -- mid-70s, sunshine, and no clouds.  Pacific Beach is famous for its pier and boardwalk, where girls in bikinis can be seen running, biking, and rollerblading (not that we noticed!)

On advice of a co-worker, we wore our sunglasses and walked slow.

Of course, walking in the bright sunshine can make a man thirsty ...
